After an 8-year old Bulgarian artist goes viral for her abstract paintings, art dealer Mihail returns to his home country after decades away to determine if she really is the protege many believe her to be. In the process, he must contend with what he’s left behind for his new life in Canada, confronting both the family he abandoned in Bulgaria as well as his own daughter's desire to reconnect with their roots.
